Meet Otis Sanford


Otis Sanford is a full-time faculty member at the University of Memphis who teaches students from freshman to the graduate level. He holds the Hardin Chair of Excellence in Economic and Managerial Journalism. He also serves as political analyst and commentator in broadcast journalism. Sanford currently provides commentary and political analysis for WATN-TV Channel 24 and writes a weekly column for the Daily Memphian, Memphis’s first online news site. He has more than 40 years of experience in journalism and has been interviewed by various regional and national news organizations including NBC Nightly News, The Public Broadcasting Network (PBS) Newshour, and National Public Radio (NPR).
